About us

After years in venture capital and serving on the boards of venture-backed companies, we saw a recurring issue: great ideas would get funded, and the VC money would pour in. But when growth slowed, even slightly, venture interest would disappear. Too often, these companies weren’t ready for private equity either, leaving them stuck—strong businesses held back by their cap table.
We kept asking ourselves: is there a better solution for these high-potential companies with the wrong cap table? How can we stop them from falling through the gaps?
Our answer was also shaped by our experience at Oaktree Capital investing in the aftermath of the Great Financial Crisis. Our experience showed us that by helping great companies recapitalise, restructure their balance sheet and cap table, and with hands-on operational assistance, we unlocked significant value. Today, we see a striking parallel in the venture ecosystem.
That realisation led us to found Resurge Growth Partners.
We help companies move off the venture treadmill and onto a path of sustainable, profitable growth. With our expertise and hands-on support, we work to reset their cap tables, unlock new opportunities, and guide them toward long-term success. Our goal is simple: to help these businesses reach their full potential and appeal to both private equity and strategic acquirers.

Meet the team

Oren Peleg

Portfolio Manager and co-founder

Resurge Growth Partners was founded by Oren Peleg, who brings over 35 years of experience in private equity and business transformation. Oren began his career at Citibank and later joined McKinsey & Co, becoming a Partner focused on operations, transformations, and Growth.

In 1999, he returned to private equity at Nomura (later Terra Firma Capital Partners), leading several portfolio transformations. In 2006, he joined Oaktree Capital, where he played a key role in building their European private equity business. At Oaktree, he co-led the creation of "Platforms"—businesses conceived, incubated, and scaled from scratch into fully operational and successful companies.

As Chairman and CEO of Fitness First in 2012, Oren led the company's transformation, recognised as the "Turnaround of the Decade." by TRI Since 2019, Oren has invested in and chaired several startups and scale-ups.

His expertise includes governance, transformation, fundraising, and exits, spanning startups to mature businesses.

Eyal Malinger

Managing Partner and co-founder

Eyal Malinger co-founded Resurge Growth Partners with over 25 years of experience in technology and investment. Eyal is a software engineer by training, having started his career at start-ups during the .com era.

Eyal went on to join McKinsey & Co and was sponsored to attend Harvard Business School, where he graduated as a Baker Scholar. In 2009, Eyal joined Oaktree Capital’s European Private Equity business, honing his expertise in value investing and due diligence. He later became Corporate Development Director at Countrywide PLC, overseeing venture investments.

In 2016, Eyal joined Beringea, a UK-based venture capital firm, where he became a partner, co-leading the equity investment team and serving on the boards of MPB.com, Asterra, CreativeX, Papier and Zoovu. Eyal also serves on the board of London & Partners.

Matt Jarmolkiewicz

Vice President

Matt bring over 6 years of experience in private equity and management consulting.

He began his career with an M&A internship at HSBC, followed by a year at JPMorgan, where he focused on data and software ventures.

In 2018, Matt joined Alvarez & Marsal’s Private Equity team, specialising in commercial & operational due diligence, as well as portfolio transformation.

In 2022, Matt moved to Bain & Company’s Private Equity Group, focusing on data analytics, AI-enabled sourcing, and product-led growth strategy for a software data venture.

At Resurge, Matt focuses on deal sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management.
